Blowdog returns to a semblance of normality

550 was sold today - but not without blood and sweat. It was a beautiful car and it really was a fine specimin. It deserved infinitely more attention than it received, but the market is well and truly dead. For those looking at buying an exotic car, beware.

World in Conflict - PC - Perfect RTS based on alternate reality, modern warfare. Next generation graphics with gameplay to boot. A true great, but damn shame that there is no usable Skirmish mode for infinite play! Conan - XBOX360 - God is this game frustrating. It's so annoying yet I am unable to stop playing. It's about 4 years behind with regards to graphics and gameplay yet puts no effort into any originality. Bland forgettable stuff. Portal - PC - Part of the Orange Box released by Valve, it's great to see developers coming up with such awesomely original gameplay concepts. Check out the trailer for Portal and see the main weapon, superb fun
Condemned - 360 - Utterly terrifying game, claustrophobic, cramped, uncomfortable, some real chilling level design, best of which must go to the abandoned department store with eerie music in the background. Second purchase, loved it so much first time around I bought it again. Bioshock - 360 - A landmark in visuals, sound engineering and design. Gameplay was also good but I wasn't quite prepared to jump on the media wagon. Played great, completed it but no replay value. Having said that, rescuing a little angel is one of most emotionally rewarding scenes in video game history Dungeon & Dragons Tactics (PSP) - Turn based RPG that borrows heavily from the true DD universe. Lots of life in this!

Crazy Penis - 24 Hour Psychedelic Freakout - What is this? Indie, breakbeat disco? Yeah confusing, but original and kinda captivating George Michael - Patience - Yeah sue me. Seeing him upclose and personal in Wembley reminded me why this guy is so damn successful. I challenge you to listen to this or Older and not nod your head.
Infected Mushroom - Vicious Delicious - Euro housey pop, original, chunky and synth led vocals lead to a distinguished sound Kompilation - VA - Deep cut ambient soundscapes reminiscent of Stars of a Lid
Leftfield - Leftism - How can an album still act so ahead of its time? Seminal ambient and dance album from a group who practically defined this unique genre Paul Van Dyk - Vonyc sessions - I have over 10gb of live radio performances by Van Dyk, rapidly escalating himself to 'my current favourite trance DJ, up there with Oakenfold and Digweed

Dr. Strangelove - I can't seem to stop watching this masterpiece. This ranks amongst my top 5 movies ever, Sellers is perhaps the greatest of his career as multiple personalities, no more so brilliant than the british Air Force Major Heroes - Going through the whole series at the moment, looks good quality so far and you can never have enough superhero characters. Children of Men - Interesting portrait of distopia London based 20 years from now. Clive Owen is strong as ever and despite Julianne Moore's fleeting presence, does lots to confirm she's as hot as ever Extras Series 1 - I've seen Gervais live and I wasn't that impressed. Frankly, I wanted to see more David Brent and Extras is basically an extension of The Office. Superb comedy and typical brentmeister cringe. Tenacious D - Jack Black in his element as diety-like rocker. Great music and wacky storyline lead to a fantastic climax with the devil himself. Great artwork throughout movie Sunshine - Not read the book, although I'm a big fan of Garlands, but the concept was superb, as were the SFX, but went a bit 'Event Horizon' on me towards the end
