Picking up my car from Abbey Motorsport was a pretty special occasion. After having your car away from you a week and the prospect of a host of new goodies (big AP brake kit, Power FC, full service) the drive home can be pretty entertaining. Even on a congested M25. But how else can one make this occasion even better other than adding a brand new Aston Martin Vanquish to the equation. It’s fun playing with a car like this, especially as it’s owner treats it like a hire car, weaving in and out of traffic. I was content to let him play about, like a puppy snapping at your heels. Although it boasts 460bhp, it weighs near 2 tonnes. Still, it was an absolutely wonderful sight, and that noise…sensational. Best sounding car I’ve ever heard.
