550 was sold today – but not without blood and sweat. It was a beautiful car and it really was a fine specimen. It deserved infinitely more attention than it received, but the market is well and truly dead. For those looking at buying an exotic car, beware.

Whilst a child, I longingly gazed at posters aplenty, walls lovingly adorned and Athena shops worshipped. Italian has always been the motoring Mecca of the world.
