gardas, what are you working? i mean, i’d love to have such nice cars too, but even i’m working my ass off, it’s just enough for one car, and not a new one. here in germany your only way to have a new car, without being rich already, is to have a talk with the bank :)

I was wondering how u did some of the things on your site. I am using the same theme as you but wanted to customize it a little more. I like how you have image set over the postings. I was wondering how I do that.

I was also wondering how you got each post to display on your main page. It seems as though my postings on my main page only show 1 post at a time not all or the last 5-10 that I post.

    can u fill me in?

    Thanks,

Hey! A blast from the past here… Hope you’re well – sounds like things are doing OK! Anyway I’ve been commissioned to write an R34 Buyer’s Guide for Performance Car magazine and I thought “who knows his Skylines…” and here I am. OK, I know your tastes lie elsewhere now but it would be good to have a chat if possible.

    Drop me a line!

    Hi there,

Got your details from the E30 zone and seems like you’re trying to solve a similar problem to me but possibly with a bigger budget ;)

I’ve got a 1987 BMW 320i and need to get the sound sorted on it – also with an iphone/aux input.

My budget is about £500 but much as I love music, and I do, I’m not very technically minded.

What I really need – I live in North West London – is for someone to tell me what to buy front speakers, head unit (already got a Kenwood but it’s incredibly tinny) and possibly amp-wise and then – and this is the key – someone who has a love/interest in these things who can fit it all for me.

Am more than happy to buy second hand.

Welcome your thoughts on all of the above as it sounds like we’re on the same journey. Two god-awful puns in that last sentence, neither intentional.

    Matt.

Hey – well I’m sorry to disappoint but I’m in exactly the same boat!
I’ve got a friend who’s looking into it for me as I’m trying to do just the same thing. I’ll see if I can dig out some conversation points about it.

    heya,

Site looking good! I wanted to ask you how you were able to show headlines on your ‘asides’ articles. I figured out how to change the length of the excerpts but no headline.

I use The Morning After WordPress theme on my site as well: http://31up.com

    take care,

    Chris

    Hi there

Yon know what, you really shouldn’t have been driving up the Edgware Road like that earlier this afternoon. Us bikers normally expect to leave ANY car behind!

    Tut tut.

    Car sounded amazing though.

I’ve been quietly reading about your GT3s for the past year or two. A couple of hours ago I immediately recognised the green RS as you went past Kings Cross. The car looked incredible among the everyday traffic!

    Hey Cem,

Love the site – lots of interesting reading!

Could you tell me how you get on with the Gen2 GT3 around London (with the multitude of bumps, pot holes, jams and and underground parking…)? I’m based in Southgate with a pending Gen 2 order but have only been able to test the car at the Silverstone PDE track…

    Thanks!

Driving a GT3 around town is always going to be a compromise. The new Gen 2 GT3 is a lot easier to live with however, especially if you’ve specced the lift kit.
My RS is not a fun car to drive around town often, based on the lightweight flywheel and noisy clutch, together with the perspex rear window – it makes for uncomfortable traffic driving.
The vanilla GT3 is a lot easier to live with, but I still wouldn’t say it’s a great, everyday, London town car – it’s not. But then that’s the compromise you make if you want to drive the best Porsche ever made!

          Hi Konstantine,
It simply comes down to how much you value pure driving appeal. The Mk1 GT3 was an amazing drivers car, excellent steering, balance and neutral handling. The GTR is just a power car, it’s ‘OK’ on track, but it’s heavy, uncommunicative and utterly dull in comparison to the GT3.
If you want to just go fast on the road and cruise, the Nur was amazing. Back when I had it, it would literally stop traffic – everybody loved it on the street, all the cameras would come out. The green RS I have is the first car to feel like that since the Nur.
I would not buy an R34 GTR ever again, it simply is in a different league now from what I expect from a car. Also, that Nur has had WAY too much work done to it since I sold it. It lost its originality a long time ago.

    Blow….dawg…
Been a very long time since the quake days. You look like you’ve sorted the dev world and earring enough to fund a serious octane habit! Any how, my life’s been up up, been down, it has, after all been many years. I’m currently an it director for a law firm turning 30M but the gti (we all had one) is long gone and the most exciting since then is a saab 93! New woman, new life……stumbled over your site, thought it might be a laugh hooking up, no one legged Simods this time!!
