Sat here, 1am Saturday morning reading some incredible thesis’ on both Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions and I can’t help but feel humbled at the intelligence of some major discussions on the internet regarding the films. A vast majority of them are based on theory and guesswork. But there are some nuggets of information out there that really shine a different light on the movies. The more eagle eyed of you will notice my revision of the mark I gave Revolutions. The more I read, the more sense it makes and, at the same time, the more you realise that these films were multi-layered, multi-faceted collections of cinematic excellence.
I urge anyone with 2-3 hours to spare (it will take you that long!) to read and digest some of the more finer works out there, specifically the writings of Brian Takle on his website.
